Ice, Ice Baby... the perfect day for a WARM UP!

I get so stir crazy when I'm cooped up in the house because its so icky and icy and cold outside. I was excited with the thought of snow! And all I have outside my door is ICE!!!! Noooo! But because it's freezing outside, I figured this was the perfect time to talk about a WARM-UP! haha
Here is a couple things you need to know about warming up for dance class...
We usually always have some type of warm-up/stretch in every class. Whether its a class warm-up, an individual warm-up, or a fitness warmup we like to prepare for the class ahead.
After the warm-up, in most of our classes, we follow that with across-the-floor technique exercises.
At the end of the warmup sample video, you'll hear us discuss some technique that we stress at Legacy and the importance of warming up...
This is just a few aspects of one of our warm-ups. I hope you'll be able to apply some of those things in your own dance warm-up. Now go practice and work on your dances on this snow... er, uhm, I mean... ICE day!
P S... Yes, I have on mixed matched socks and you'll be lucky to find me wearing matching socks, ever.
