How is Legacy different than any other dance studio?

Our goal is to create a dance home for confident, creative kids.  Your dancer will be eager to learn, passionate about their classes, and count down the days till their next lesson at Legacy Dance Project.  

By instilling the love of dance, you will witness a boost of self-esteem, growth in originality, and be reassured that they have found a passion and joy for dance.  At the end of dance class, don't be surprised if they are reluctant to leave.

Legacy's Five Core Values:

• Emphasis on Technique: Every class is based and planned on technique that will help excel each student to their highest potential.  Explaining terminology, providing interactive alternative learning materials, and seeking out creative methods for instructing are just a few ways we take dance education to another engaging level.   We do not take our roles as instructors lightly.  While we do provide fun and entertainment for the dancers, we know ultimately you are paying for a dance education first, which is why it is our first priority. 

• Welcoming Dance Family: We truly are a loyal tribe, the LDP tribe to be exact!  Friendships thrive through classes and grow stronger through learning opportunities and in-studio events.  Support is distributed through the studio and to each and every student and parent via our studio-side communication app, the monthly newsletters, handbooks for important events, and wonderful in-studio events.  We strive to keep the vibe at the studio drama-free, so please bring your concerns to Miss Megan first.  Everyone at the studio understands they have a responsibility to maintain that no-judgement zone as well. 

• Confident, Creative Kids: We want our dancers to feel proud of their accomplishments.  We celebrate even the small successes to promote a positive dance experience.  The memories your dancer will make will last forever, so we want to help create the most magical, rewarding ones.  We appreciate the dancers' hard work and give them praise for their talents.  We take the time to teach the students the progressions of steps so they have the foundation to build on that knowledge, having the ability to correctly execute more advanced steps later in their dance career.  Just as much as we praise the accomplishments, we also constructively critique the students in their dance classes to help them guide them into better, stronger technique equaling better, stronger dancers. 

• The Students are our Spotlight: Each student receives the same dance education... no matter the program.  We believe all students that want to explore the inspiration of the performing arts should have the chance to dance.  We create unique and original choreography that highlights the dancers strengths and personalities.  Our talented dancers grace our ads and promotions because we are proud of their hard work and want to show them off any chance we have available.  Because we focus on technique, not trophies, we see growth in the personal ares of the students as well.  We implement tools like company binders, small class sizes for individualized attention, and goal setting skills to enhance their passion for dance and progression. 

• The WOW Factors: We want to provide more than just a "dance studio", we want to provide a dance experience.  We offer open houses with raffles, the ability to choose payment plans to best fit your budget, promote open studio communication, only hire and employ qualified, experienced teacher and instructors to be certain your children are getting the best dance education possible. We highlight each class with creative, unique dance choreography and approach students with not-your-typical teaching tactics.  You have to come and experience for yourself.
