Core Program

Core classes are offered in the following styles: Acro, Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip hop, and Lyrical/Contemporary. More info about these different styles can be found here. Core dance students attend their high energy class on a weekly basis where they learn technique skills that they will be proud to show-off and choreography that they will remember for many years... all for the end of the year showcase. Kindergarten through 5th grade classes are typically 45 minutes in length. Middle and high school classes are typically an hour long.

One class a week... oh but you don't know what you signed up for! Your dancer will be encompassed with the passion of learning. She'll be eager to get to class and will run to the dance room to giggle with her friends. You can see the determination in her eyes, her soaking in the newest dance step, and you will be proud to watch her practice and stretch in the living room on any given night. Soon, that turns into a lifelong love of dance. She can't wait to share what song she will be dancing her senior solo to, how beautiful and dazzling her costume looks, and how she doesn't really want to move on but knows she has to. At Legacy, instilling a love of dance is only part of what we do... we help young people set goals, pursue dreams with determination, and explore way past the limits of the present. We help them determine what will be their legacy.
